Truly one of the giants of Country Music.  Roy Acuff  became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1938 and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1961.  The publishing company he formed with Fred Rose, Acuff-Rose, is responsible for introducing many  top-notch country talents to the world, including Hank Williams.  Hank Williams also named Roy Acuff as his personal hero.
