When Gloria Jean Davy's boyfriend dropped her off at the townhouse that night he had no way of knowing that Richard Speck was already inside. Speck would later say that Gloria was flirting with him. He saved her for last. She was the only one of the nurses to be raped before she was stabbed and strangled.

CORAZON ATIENZA "The first thing I noticed about him was the strong smell of alcohol." The only survivor of the massacre. Corazon slid under a bunk bed and in the heat of the moment Speck did not account for her. She waited for hours after his departure before coming out. Corazon later described Speck to a sketch artist and the photo helped to apprehend him. |
