Keith Whitley was married to fellow Country Singer Lorrie Morgan who was herself, the daughter of Country legend George Morgan. George is buried about one hundred yards in front of Keith's marker. Lorrie's future burial site is next to her late husband Keith's grave. Keith Whitley died from alcohol poisoning. He had gone straight, but had a one-night relapse. Whitley's blood alcohol level was .40 at the time of his death. Keith Whitley began his career by starting a Bluegrass band with friend Ricky Skaggs. |
