JOSEPH ABRAHAM GOTTLIEB February 3, 1918 - October 17, 2007 ASHES: Scattered at Sea Joey Bishop began his career as a stand-up comedian and seemed to never be out of work from that point forward. He was up for anything from talk shows (guest hosting for Johnny Carson, Jack Paar), to game shows (Match Game, Hollywood Squares), to television infomercials (later in his life). Along the way he even made a few failed attempts at his own television shows. Bishop also starred in a number of films, none of which were of import. In the end, his greatest claim to fame is having been a member of The Rat Pack.
