Academy Award nominee for Best Supporting Actress in "The Blue Veil." Joan Blondell had an extraordinary career that spanned over fifty years. She continued to work right up to the end of her life including roles in "Grease" (1979) and "The Champ" (1979).

Joan Blondell's ashes are interred directly above the statue.
