FORT TAYLOR CEMETERY, BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA

Defensive tackle for the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles from 1987 to 1991.  Jerome Brown was elected to the Pro-Bowl in 1990 and 1991.  Just before the beginning of the 1992 season, Brown was riding in his Corvette convertible with his twelve-year old nephew Gus in his hometown of Brooksville.  Jerome lost control of his vehicle on a wet patch of road and it slammed into a utility pole before flipping over.  Both he and his nephew were killed.  An eye witness attested to the fact that Brown was driving at a high rate of speed.  Jerome Brown and his nephew Augusta were buried side-by-side.
