MOHANDAS KARAMCHAND GANDHI

COD:  Assassinated by gunshot

ASHES:

After Gandhi's cremation his ashes were poured into several urns and sent across India for various memorial services.  His ashes were eventually scattered in Allahabad at the Holy Triveni Sangam.  However, some of the urns were kept and are in various shrines throughout India.  Gandhi's family has decided not to acquire the remains because it would involve dismantling the shrines.
