In 1961 the Country Music Hall of Fame was formed and the three original inductees were Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, and Fred Rose.  With Roy Acuff, Fred formed the Acuff-Rose Publishing Co. which was not only a giant in the Country Music field, but in music in general.  Fred Rose was the man responsible for signing Hank Williams.  Rose polished Williams' rough edges and helped to create some of the greatest songs ever recorded.
