The first time I saw the film Poltergeist there appeared on screen a charismatic young woman from whom I could not take my eyes. She had that something. It was Dominique Dunne and although her role was a minor one, her performance ran the gamut from smart ass (seen in the picture to the left, for which I will forever remember her) to terrified teenager. Every note rang true. When someone young dies, people so often obligatorily utter the words "what might have been."
