CHARLTON HESTON 1923 - 2008 A truly legendary, iconic, larger-than-life screen presence. Chuck has an astonishing list of performances to choose from, but I have two personal favorites. The first time I saw him as Moses, that night I dreamt I was Moses. It was empowering when I was ten and I still get chills from that wonderfully over-the-top, jaw-set performance. He does it with such conviction that you buy every moment of it. My other favorite, at the opposite end of the spectrum, is his cameo on Friends when he played himself. He uttered the immortal line, "Every actor, at one time or another, has thought he stank." Charlton Heston suffered from Alzheimer's Disease in the latter years of his life and spent his final days out of the public eye. He died on April 5th, 2008 and after they pried the gun from his hand, he was cremated. -Todd ASHES In the possession of a family member.
