Betty Everett is best know for "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)", but she also had songs covered by the likes of Linda Ronstadt and Elvis Costello.  From the 1980's to her death in 2001, Everett resided in South Beloit, Illinois and was involved in the Rhythm and Blues Foundation.  Betty made her final public appearance on the PBS special Doo Wop 51.
