American Aviator most-famous for being the first person to complete a solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean.  Also gained world-wide attention during the trial of the man who kidnapped and murdered his son, Charles Lindbergh, Jr.  Charles Lindbergh also won a Pulitzer Prize for his autobiography "The Spirit of St. Louis."
